{"id":863,"date":"2012-04-10T21:04:58","date_gmt":"2012-04-10T21:04:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/heritagelab.org\/?p=863"},"modified":"2018-08-16T14:58:39","modified_gmt":"2018-08-16T18:58:39","slug":"december-visit-and-1st-interviews","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/heritagelab.org\/?p=863","title":{"rendered":"Homestead Beach December visit and 1st interviews"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday I met with\u00a0 a contact at the Gold Coast Railroad museum in Miami, FL.\u00a0 He showed some paintings that he had drawn about black beaches but no artifacts and photos from Homestead Bayfront Beach as he stated before.\u00a0 He, however, arranged a meeting with a local artist who had visited the beach in the past and wanted to share his experiences.\u00a0 I met with them both and conducted a pre-interview explaining the project as well as my own research.\u00a0 We discussed his connection with the beach and the community.
