This project in cooperation with Biscayne National Park is a study on the beach during the 1950s-1960s. We are looking for people who have had experience or knowledge of the beach and the city of Homestead in general for interviews conducted by Iyshia Lowman, Master’s of Applied Anthropology student at the University of South Florida.
This study is focusing interpersonal relationships and occurances in the past and the present. Interviews last from 45minutes to 1 hour at a time (up to 2 interview sessions when needed).
This project will help fill the gap of knowledge in the historical record and the National Park Services record as well as answer questions about the community.
