Sulphur Springs – Heritage Tourism Course 2009

In the Fall of 2009, I took Dr. Jackson’s course – ANG 5937 Section 87909 Issues in Heritage Tourism.  The purpose of the course was to introduce students to the theoretical and practical issues in heritage tourism and the business of heritage resource management from an anthropological perspective.  For the group project, students worked with a community partner – The Sulphur Springs Museum and Heritage Center.  Some of the group’s deliverables for the project included a Sulphur Springs Heritage Trail Self-Guided Tour,  Historic Timeline and a Historic Slideshow.
